The first official collaboration between Yuko Ota and myself. I made the mistake of sitting her in front of my computer last night to doodle and she started drawing this amazingly trashy romance cover. Instead of moving on with our lives, however, together we put together this picture. I apologize to all of humanity for it.
Most of the line art is Yuko and most of the colors are mine. Also, the contorted spine is very much intentional.

Although Misato was “just” a typical tabby cat, her stripes had amazing symmetry and she was all about keeping herself clean.
Sociability: A
There’s a joke that cats aren’t really pets but roommates and Misato fit that description to a T. She actually came with our neighborhood when we moved into our first house and decided that we were cool enough for repeat visits. Although she never fully let go of her independent outdoor life, she was the consummate life of the party when she did come home.
Usefulness: A
Misato was the best cat we never owned! She was warm and inviting because she chose to be so with us and everyone else who came into our home. She helped entertain at parties, never clawed any of our furniture, rarely used the litter box we provided for her, and patrolled the outside of our home at night.
Huggability: B
An independent lady, Misato was only interested in hugging on her own terms. However, when she wanted love, she was the cutest and most huggible kitty around.
Overall Grade: A-
